A  happy member of the QL network since 2020

The roots of the Pott manufactory go back more than 100 years. The history starts in Solingen (Germany), where Carl Hugo Pott founded a workshop in 1904 for the processing of damascened steel for the cutlery industry. His son, Carl Pott, joined the company in 1932, and as brilliant flatware designer established the reputation that Pott enjoys today. In the course of half a century, he managed to create an epic flatware program that continues to be ahead of its time. In 1985 Hannspeter Pott carries on his father’s work, and supplements it with extravagant designs by young artists. In 2006 the Seibel family – in their own right a successful and experienced producer of hand-crafted flatware since 1895 – acquires the company. Since then the business has moved to the neighboring town of Mettmann.

Since 2020 we are part of the QL Hotels network. QL Hotels are exceptional and authentic, celebrating hospitality to the last detail and knowing that this can only be achieved with the highest standards of quality. We share these values and look forward to supporting you in this endeavor.

Pott Flatware

The Pott flatware portfolio includes 19 different series, which were designed between 1935 and 2003 and are still produced to the greatest extent unchanged in the flatware manufactory in Mettmann with the highest standards of quality. Ten series were designed by Carl Pott, and another nine series were developed by external designers who were commissioned by Carl Pott or later his son Hannspeter. Eleven of the 19 series are part of the historical models. These eleven series are produced once a year by pre-order for end-customers and on request for hotels and restaurants. The eight standard series can be purchased all year round. Find out more about the Pott standard series and about Pott historical models.

Pott Gourmet

Next to flatware, Pott is known for its gourmet tools. Oysters and lobsters can be enjoyed in the style that becomes them best. Pott cheese knives are just as functional as they are beautiful. Pott spoons are available from the small salt spoon to the big Carlo serving spoon. Pott steak knives by famous chef Sarah Wiener are made with local woods, either plum or walnut.
